Talegate Sports
The concept of Talegate is the culmination of a kid’s fascination with sports.
The 1980s were a decade of heroes, and Talegate founder Al Blanton grew up on the carpeted floor of his living room, watching hours of Major League Baseball, organizing baseball card sets, and engaging in general enthrallment with Alabama sports.
Now Al and his staff at Blanton Media Group have launched an effort to preserve the rich sports history in the state of Alabama and celebrate the milestones and accomplishments of our athletes, from Florence to Scottsboro, Dothan to Birmingham, Tuscaloosa to Auburn, and everywhere in between.
